Sweden launches a new packaging material

The Swedish company ECOLIN has introduced a new packaging material, which has a lower cost and its raw material is mainly a natural material with huge reserves. Under sunlight, this material will melt and disappear within a few hours, and it will be beneficial to the soil.

This new packaging material is made of 70% chalk and 30% polyolefin. It is similar in appearance and feel to traditional plastic, but it is not plastic. According to tests, the material is as strong as glass and tough as rubber. It can be an ideal substitute for plastics, cardboard and aluminum packaging, and it is cheaper because its main ingredient, chalk, is abundant in all parts of the world, and is abundantly present on the surface. Shallow formations are much cheaper to extract than synthetic plastics and other packaging materials such as cardboard.
