Practical skills

This example begins with a step-by-step explanation from design to printing. The following is the actual operation of the design draft.

1. Set the specifications of washing powder

According to the customer's requirements, the size of the image is set from [File]|[New] as follows: Width: "22" cm, height: "32.5" cm, which is the size of the back side of the washing powder, as shown in Figure 4.

Among them, the resolution is "300" and the color mode is "CMYK color". These two options are the most important, which are related to the final printing problems and effects.

2. Layout

The composition of washing powder is based on trademarks, and customers request to use the shape of the trademark to play. According to the “Design Method” of this example, a Wuyi Mountain landscape map was placed in the design draft to impress consumers with the rumors of Wuyi Mountain scenery.

First, some existing material images, such as manufacturer's trademarks, factory names, products, landscape materials, etc., may be placed in the layout of the design first.

Next, select the color of the main color of the washing powder. Each product has its own color matching. Can start from the market, compare the color of the famous manufacturers of products to use for reference, the current mainstream color of washing powder is probably blue, red, green, yellow, purple and other kinds.

Finally, a dynamic graphic is set in the layout as the main graphic of the entire package, as shown in Figure 5.

From the composition above, it can be noticed that the portable part of the package accounts for one-fifth of the entire layout. In this example, the handheld size specification is set to a height of 6 cm and the black line represents the emptying icon. This example uses yellow (C: "0", M: "0", Y: "100", K: "0"), purple (C: "80", M: "100", Y: "0" , K: "0"), blue (C: "100", M: "20", Y: "0", K: "0") to match three colors, the middle oval box uses red to yellow Gradient, while using a white stroke effect, eye-catching and generous.

3. Make an oval background

Select the [Ellipse Marquee Tool] box to select an ellipse selection area and select the [Selection]|[Convert Selection] command to convert the selection to the appropriate position and press the “Enter” key to confirm.

Select [Gradation Tool], and set the color parameters to change from blue (C: "100", M: "0, Y:" 0, K: "0") to white, as shown in Figure 6.

4. Making blisters

Open the [blister.jpg] file in the material file in the supporting CD, select the [cyan] channel, and hold the channel and drag it to the design layout, as shown in Figure 7.

At this point, new channels are automatically generated in the file. Press "Ctrl" and click on the channel to convert it to a selection. Create a new layer in the layer and fill it with white. The result is shown in Figure 8.
