The characteristics of plastic film and its application in packaging printing:

In order to obtain exquisite plastic packaging, so that it can effectively protect the goods, has the ability to reproduce the shape, style and color of the goods, reflecting the high quality of the goods, highlighting the sense of the times, generally requiring the plastic film to have a light and transparent, soft, strong , moisture-proof, waterproof, chemically stable, corrosion-resistant, oil-resistant, heat-resistant, cold-resistant, pollution-resistant, hot-sticky, adaptable to climate change and other characteristics.

Food Packaging Plastic Film Selection

1. The film must fully comply with hygiene standards. That is, the film itself does not undergo migration of toxic substances, and is non-toxic, odorless, and has no odor.
2. The film must have a certain mechanical strength, smooth surface, non-absorbent, anti-corrosion and other excellent properties. The moisture-proof packaging, vacuum packaging and air-packing of food should have the function of blocking the water vapor in the environment, infiltrating the oxygen into the packaging bag, and preventing the escape of inert gas inside the bag. For quick-frozen food packaging, it must have low-temperature freezing performance. For the production of "retort pouches" film, it must have high temperature cooking performance. For oil-based food packaging, it is required to have oil resistance and UV penetration resistance (if the single film does not meet the required performance, there must be a selection of composite or coating processes).
3. The film should have good printability, or can adapt to printing after prepress processing.
4. The film should have good sealability and mechanical packaging adaptability.
5. The film must be economical, and on the premise of effective protection of the goods, use inexpensive and readily available materials.
6. Remove static electricity without static electricity or after antistatic treatment.
However, it is impossible for any single plastic film to have the above-mentioned excellent characteristics. Therefore, the appropriate film should be selected according to the different properties of the inner package. Avoid the defects caused by improper selection of packaging materials causing food deterioration or poor adhesion, blocking, wrinkling, perforation, bag breakage during mechanical operations.
