BASF develops a plastic yellow pigment

BASF has newly developed a Paliotol Yellow K 1700, which adds a variety of high-quality organic pigments for intrinsically pigmented plastics. It has better chemical properties than Patiolol Yellow K 2270, a PY183 pigment. The main difference is its colorability. This dyestuff has a good fastness. Paliotol Yellow K 1700 is greener, purer, more vivid and has a bright light color. Its color is between green and red, making Paliotol Yellow K 1700 more popular, and the choice of color compatibility is even greater. Potential applications include low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, and ABS. Paliotol Yellow K 1700 is also ideal as a spinning dye for polypropylene and polyester resins.
