The city's industrial and commercial concentration law enforcement forces conducted market construction and quality inspections on 10 network platforms including Maternal and Infant House, Jingdong, Tmall, Suning Tesco and 35 brands of 60 brands of child safety seats sold by two physical stores. It was found that 17 batches were unqualified, and the unqualified detection rate was 28.3%. In the past year, the situation was even worse. According to the industrial and commercial sampling inspection, 11 batches of child safety seats were unqualified, and the unqualified detection rate was 68.8%. The sampling found that the unqualified safety seat on the network platform had a high detection rate, and 8 out of 10 network platforms were found to have unqualified products.
Shi Shulu, director of the Consumer Protection Department of the Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce, said that the sampling found that there were two major problems in the failure of child safety seats. One is not fixed firmly, and the other is that the flame retardant performance of the product is unqualified.
