When the electric vehicle battery is fully charged, it can be driven. In the driving mode, the electric vehicle battery becomes a power source to drive the electric motor (motor). The number and life of charge and discharge of electric vehicle batteries is one of the important indicators. Another important factor affecting battery life is that the charging voltage and discharge voltage must be within a safe voltage range, such as a single-cell lithium battery. It is not limited to overcharge when it is limited to 4.2V. The voltage must be above 2.5V when discharging, so it will not be over-discharged. Over-charging or over-discharging will quickly and permanently damage the internal structure of the battery. Therefore, special attention must be paid to the battery discharge test. Avoid excessive battery discharge and permanent damage to the battery.
This article describes the use of 34000 series / 36000 series ultra-high power electronic load, the following four working modes can avoid battery discharge test, may be due to battery over-discharge, resulting in battery voltage is too low during discharge to permanently damage the battery.

1, CC + CV battery discharge test mode

In the electronic load CC+CV constant current and constant voltage automatic switching mode, the electronic load must first set the battery discharge current (CC value) and the battery stop discharge voltage (CV value) separately, when the battery discharge voltage reaches the CV set value. The electronic load will automatically not continue to discharge, so that the battery voltage is maintained at the CV setting.
The CC+CV mode is quite easy to test the battery discharge. The electronic load can be automatically switched from the CC constant current discharge mode to the CV constant voltage mode, and the battery will not be over-discharged and damaged. The operation mode is as follows:

3, CC + UVP battery discharge test mode CC + UVP battery discharge test mode, as shown below, the user sets the battery to stop the voltage point UVP (undervoltageprotect), test in a fixed current mode (CC) discharge, when the battery voltage is less than UVP The discharge is stopped and the total discharge capacity AH is displayed.

5, timed discharge, pulse discharge and RAMP ramp mode discharge 34000/36000 series electronic load battery discharge test method In addition to the above four modes, it also includes battery test to set discharge time, pulse discharge current, and can be set The RAMP ramp mode of the increase/decrease slope of the discharge current is shown in the discharge test current waveform. These discharge test methods can simulate the specific battery discharge current waveform of an actual electric vehicle while traveling.

When the test is in the fixed current mode, when the discharge time reaches the set time, the discharge is stopped and the current voltage is displayed.
